Wrote this on my grandson’s 2nd birthday.  Such a cute age, keeps us busy and young!  Love that guy.

Blond locks
curled,
prettiest I’ve
ever seen,
A busy little
guy.
A roaming
minstrel,
singing to the
sun, moon and stars,
in oohs and awes.
Your charm
is undeniable,
your melt all
who meet you,
A shy wave,
a dog-dog when
we take a walk.
Enjoying the
flowers and plants,
exploring the
streets of Encinitas.
An energy,
a curiosity,
a determination,
I can only admire.
Building with
blocks and
just as quickly knocking it all
down.
I find myself
staring at you
while  you watch
Paw Patrol or
Sesame Street,
or Daniel the Tiger.
A face that
launched a
1000 ships
and that Nana
loves beyond measure.
a joyous little
guy.
soon your life
will change.
A new little
brother,
A forever friend.
You will always
be my first
grandchild, the
little boy
who stole my
heart.
